WordPress Pioneer Training
WordPress Pioneer is a beginner-to-intermediate WordPress training course – a hands-on workshop for people with an existing WordPress website. You will learn how to login and navigate the dashboard, create, edit and publish content, add images, videos and widgets, manage users, customise your site, and much more.
Managing a website is often presented in a way as to seem overly difficult or “techie” and only something the IT department should handle. This need not be the case. WordPress is a hugely popular Content Management System (CMS) which anyone can use with only a modicum of internet and word processing skills. We demystify the tech, and show you how to do it yourself.
WordPress Pioneer is the perfect way to learn how to take control of your WordPress website and online presence.
Who Is This Course For?
WordPress Pioneer is a beginner-to-intermediate level course for anyone with an existing WordPress website. It is for business owners, sales and marketing professionals, executives, teams and admin staff who need the ability to add, edit and update content as and when required. You may already have basic content management skills, or be a complete newbie. This course will help you take control of your website and give you the confidence to grow your business online.
All participants must have an existing WordPress website for which they have access to the dashboard. WordPress is based on a hierarchical access system. Participants must ideally have full admin access. Editor and author access may not be sufficient depending on the level of understanding and customisation required.
All participants must bring their own laptop computers. Both Apple Macs and PCs are fine. iPads and tablets are not suitable.
This course is an ideal environment to add real content with the guidance of a tutor. It is very interactive and you will be adding and editing content throughout the day. Please bring with you sample or real content you’d like to add. This can include text, images, videos, PDFs and the like. If in doubt, please bring what you have.
A basic knowledge of word processing, e.g. Microsoft Word, is helpful and it is recommended participants make a backup of their website prior to the course.
